Seven tiny astronauts. One big red planet. Zero grown ups.
Seven mice borrow a rocket, land on Mars, and build the best clubhouse in the solar system, one seven minute adventure at a time.
Humans trained Echo and her crew to fly. Nobody told the humans the mice were paying attention. One countdown later the mice are gone, and Mars belongs to seven very small astronauts.
Every episode is one small problem on one big red planet. A dust storm eats the greenhouse. The rover loses a wheel. Somebody ate the last of the cheese. Seven minutes later the crew has sorted it out together, and usually made a mess doing it.
No villains, no peril that outlasts a snack, and a robot cat who very much wants to join in. Just a crew of tiny friends a long way from home, getting very good at making a new one.
Short enough for a four year old, funny enough that the eight year old stays, and built so parents hear the same catchphrase for the next two years.
Seven minutes, one problem, one warm landing. Short enough to say yes to at bedtime, and kids ask for it again before the credits finish.
Taking turns, trying again, asking for help. Every episode plays a small social skill instead of announcing it, then lands the gag on top.
A crew a four year old can name from across the room, a base that grows all season, and a countdown chant the whole couch shouts back.
Real craters, real dust storms, real ice in the cave walls, all bent until the joke works. Curious kids get answers, everyone gets the laugh.
Wears her launch day scar like a badge. Counts everybody in and counts everybody home. "Crew of seven. Ready?"
Strongest mouse on Mars, a bit scared of the dark, gives hugs like a spacesuit. Carries whatever everyone else drops.
Every plan starts with "what if we just" and ends with somebody upside down. Somehow it works, never the same way twice.
Talks to the ship and the ship listens. If it blinks, Bell can fix it, usually by switching it off and on again.
Guards the cheese with a bendy sword and a very serious face. Shares it every single time, after a small speech.
One toolbox, two plans, zero agreement. Whatever breaks, they rebuild it slightly wrong and somehow slightly better.
Built by humans to chase mice, now mostly chasing friends. Purrs in beeps and still cannot work the airlock.
Every episode: one small problem, one big idea, seven minutes, one warm landing. Here are five from season one.
Rosco is told exactly one thing: do not flip the red switch. Seven mice, one countdown and thirty very fast seconds later, Earth is out the window and getting smaller.
Everyone wakes from the long sleep except Ratatat, who is snoring loud enough to rattle the ship. Then something starts tapping on the glass, and it is not a mouse.
The parachute is one borrowed feather. The landing spot is a crater nobody aimed for. Everybody is fine, and the argument about whose idea the feather was lasts much longer than the landing.
There is ice in the cave walls and a seed in Pip's pocket, and the tomato refuses to grow for anybody. It takes all seven of them, plus one robot cat, to work out why.
A supply pod lands early, and something knocks from the inside. The whole crew lines up at the door and opens it together, because that is what you do when you live here now.

FADE IN:
EXT. LAUNCH PAD, NIGHT
A rocket so tall we cannot see the top of it. At the bottom, seven very small astronauts in seven very small helmets.
ECHO
Crew of seven. Ready?
EVERYONE
Ready!
RATATAT
(quietly)
Ready-ish.
ECHO
Bell. How long have we got?
BELL
(not looking up from her wrist)
Thirty seconds. Twenty nine. Twenty eight.
ROSCO
I love this part.

INT. ROCKET, FLIGHT DECK, CONTINUOUS
Seven mice pile through a hatch built for somebody a thousand times their size. Rosco stops in front of a panel with one red switch on it.
ROSCO
What does the red one do?
ECHO
Rosco. Do not flip the red one.
ROSCO
Right. Do not flip the red one.
A beat. He flips the red one. The whole ship hums awake and every light comes on at once.
BELL
Okay. That was the engine.
MANCHEGO
(holding the entire cheese supply)
Does anybody want to hold this? No? Fine.
The engines light. Seven mice grab seven straps and one another.
ECHO
Crew of seven!
EVERYONE
READY!
EXT. SPACE, MOMENTS LATER
The rocket climbs. Earth goes small and blue and very far away. Out the front window, a little red dot.
PIP
What is that one?
SQUEAK
That one is ours.
